ndrea Le is an aspiring LPGA Tour superstar, highlighted in her 2022 win at the Portland Classic. Lee is a winner at all levels. She won nine times in her playing days at Standford University during her collegiate time and was ranked for 17 weeks in the top spot of the world's Women's Amateur. In the year 2019, she was awarded the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the top-ranked Women's Amateur in the final week of the year, and became a professional in the following year. Andrea Lee, born 15 August 1998 in Los Angeles. James the father of her James started teaching her to play golf when she was 5 years old. She began competing at age 8 in competitions and was able to win 50 junior championships within the span of four years. She made it to the semi-finals of the US Women's Open in Pinehurst No. with her father as caddie. She was fifteen when the event took place. Lee was invited by sponsors to attend the 15th ANA Inspiration on the LPGA Tour but was unable to make the cut by just one shot. Lee was part of the United States' Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup as well as the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. When she first joined Stanford University in 2016, Lee was the most decorated player in the school's history. Lee won 9 titles in the span of three years. Lee was a graduate in the year 2018, left Stanford University for the professional world. Her amateur years included 17 consecutive weeks that were at the top of in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee was awarded the Mark H. McCormack medal for 2019 after she finished the year as the highest-ranked amateur. While playing as an amateur, Lee achieved four holes in one and one albatross. Her first year she finished with two top-10 finishes. She finished 7th at the AIG Women's Open in 2020 that was played on Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee was the first woman to win her debut LPGA Tour win in the 2022 Portland Classic. The winner devoted the victory to her late father Min who always considered me a champion, and he always believed in me. She added, "I was so grateful for him. It's a good thing that he's always following me." Previous competitions she participated in included soccer, taekwondo, and figure skating. Lee's interests outside of golf revolve around movies, shopping and singing. She also loves snowboarding.
